WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN INDUSTRIAL HEMP AND MARIJUANA?

Though both industrial hemp and marijuana are variants of the cannabis plant, the similarities end there.

Industrial hemp is specially cultivated to have high concentrations of cannabidiol, or CBD for short, while maintaining very low levels of THC. Conversely, marijuana is cultivated to have high levels of THC to produce a psychoactive effect.

Unlike marijuana, industrial hemp does not produce any psychoactive effects. In fact, CBD is classified as an antipsychoactive and has been shown to help those suffering from existing psychoactive disorders.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CBD AND THC?

CBD and THC are both cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant. However, their roles are very different. CBD is non-psychoactive and is responsible for the analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-anxiety properties present in cannabis.

Alternatively, THC is the cannabinoid in cannabis that creates the feeling of intoxication (or “high”). There is such a low level of THC in Noah's ReLeaf, that it is undetectable, but important to the overall effect (see Entourage Effect).

DOES USE OF NOAH’S RELEAF GIVE YOU A HIGH?

No. Because Noah’s ReLeaf contains less than 0.3% THC, it produces no feeling of intoxication and has no psychoactive properties. Instead, Noah’s ReLeaf delivers a high concentration of beneficial CBD.

IS NOAH’S RELEAF SAFE FOR CHILDREN?

Yes — in fact, some pediatric neurologists already utilize CBD oil for their patients, noting that it “can be used safely and responsibly” for children who suffer from various disorders. And unlike prescription antiepileptic drugs, CBD oil presents no serious side-effects, other than some potential sleepiness in high doses.

HOW IS NOAH’S RELEAF DIFFERENT THAN OTHER CBD OIL PRODUCTS I HAVE SEEN?

Noah’s ReLeaf is whole-plant hemp CBD oil made from hemp grown under strict specifications here in the United States. Because it is not imported like other CBD oils on the market, we are able to ensure that our hemp is grown in a clean-room type environment by experienced growers committed to responsible cultivation. Additionally, unlike these imported products, Noah’s ReLeaf uses the entirety of the hemp plant to produce more concentrated, potent CBD oil. Additionally, unlike other CBD products, Noah’s ReLeaf is not diluted or mixed with any non-hemp oils. Each batch of our oil is tested by a third party lab prior to bottling, to ensure consistent quality every time.

WHAT CAUSES THE COLOR VARIATION IN CBD OILS?

Some producers of CBD oil are using imported seed and stalk as their base material for extraction.  While they do offer a little benefit, it is not much, and definitely not worth the money they are charging.  The parts of the plant beyond the oil in the trichomes, which provide the color and more taste; ie: terpenes and chlorphyll, will be found in the flower and the leaves.

Some producers may in fact, be using these parts of the plant to make their extractions.  However, a lighter-colored oil indicates that some parts of the plant have been removed for cosmetic or taste reasons.  They may even be adding flavors.

The most efficacious oil will leave all the compounds in the plant in the final tincture.  This is sometimes referred to as "raw oil."  This may not be the best tasting, or the clearest looking tincture, but you can be sure nothing Mother Nature intended  has been removed.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN NOAH’S RELEAF AND EPIDIOLEX, THE FDA DRUG IN CLINICAL TRIALS FOR EPILEPSY?

Noah’s ReLeaf brand CBD oil is created in the U.S. from start to finish—grown, carefully extracted, and tested here. The whole hemp plant is used to create this unique oil, so nothing is removed or fractionated—just as Mother Nature intended. Epidiolex is an imported drug from outside of the U.S. While its source material is also hemp, Epidiolex’s hemp is fractionated, meaning, parts of the plant have been removed, lessening the efficacy of the medicine. According to their clinical trials, CBD oil from a fractionated source is less effective than whole-plant hemp oil, and Epidiolex’s trials have also revealed significant side effects compared to Noah’s ReLeaf.

WHAT ARE TERPENES?

Terpenes in general are present in a wide variety of plants, and are considered the main building block of any plant resin or essential oil. Terpenes are responsible for the variation in scent among different strains of cannabis. There are also subtle variations among terpenes that make them more adept at yielding certain results, such as producing a relaxing effect or increasing mental focus.  BeLeaf works hard to maintain all the terpenes as part of this essential oil.

WHAT IS THE “ENTOURAGE EFFECT”?

A term coined in the 1990s, the “entourage effect” is the understanding that hemp provides the greatest benefit when the entire plant is used in conjunction, rather than by isolating particular elements or segments. It is known that the cannabis plant contains over 480 natural components that work in synchronicity to deliver hemp’s desirable properties. Because of its unique whole-plant formula, Noah’s ReLeaf is able to harness all of these components.
