FAQ
What is CBD?
CBD is short for cannabidiol, one of over 100 cannabinoids naturally occurring in the Cannabis Sativa plant. It is a non-psychoactive compound mostly produced in the flower and leaves of the hemp plant. It is known for supporting the human mind and body in very positive ways.
What is the difference between hemp oil and CBD oil?
Both come from the Cannabis Sativa plant, but CBD mainly comes from the flower and leaves of the plant. Hemp oil is taken from the seeds. Both of the oils are non-psychoactive.
How does CBD work?
The human body has an endocannabinoid system (ECS) which is responsible for regulating activities such as immune response, inflammation, sleep and wake cycle and mood and anxiety response. CBD interacts with the ECS helping the body to maintain appropriate cannabinoid levels and support good health through homeostasis.
What is the Difference Between CBD and THC?
CBD and THC are both cannabinoids present in the cannabis plant. CBD is non-psychoactive and is responsible for the analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and anti-anxiety properties present in cannabis.
Alternatively, THC is the cannabinoid in cannabis that creates the feeling of intoxication or “high”. While it also has helpful, medical properties, it is not present in the CBD products we offer.
What is the difference between industrial hemp and marijuana?
Though both industrial hemp and marijuana are variants of the cannabis plant, the similarities end there. Industrial hemp is specially cultivated to have high concentrations of cannabidiol, or CBD for short, while maintaining very low levels of THC. Conversely, marijuana is cultivated to have high levels of THC to produce a psychoactive effect. Unlike marijuana, industrial hemp does not produce any psychoactive effects. In fact CBD is classified as an anti-psychoactive and has been shown to help those suffering from existing psychoactive disorders.
Will CBD get you “high”?
No. Cannabidiol will not produce a “high”. Even CBD oils that contain trace amounts of THC, less than 0.3% do not have a psychoactive effect.
Is your product lab tested?
A third -party laboratory analyzes all of our full-spectrum hemp extract for cannabinoid potency, bacterial/microbial life, mycotoxins (fungus), and pesticides. Our isolate is tested for potency, and pesticides. The full results of testing for all produced batches can be found on our online testing database.
BeLeaf strives to go above and beyond, especially when it comes to quality, safety, and the wellness of our loyal clients."
Is your product legal?
Yes! We are 100% compliant operating under the 2014 Farm Bill Section 7606 which defines industrial hemp as the plant, Cannabis Sativa and any part of such plant, whether growing or not with a delta-9 tetrahydrocannabiniol concentration of not more than 0.3% on a dry weight basis.
We received a hemp cultivation license in 2015 for the State of Missouri, and as a result of the passage of HB 2034, Missouri officially has ushered in industrial hemp.
What is the difference between CBD isolate and full-spectrum CBD oil?
The hemp plant has over 100 different cannabinoids as well as terpenes, flavonoids, lipids and other compounds. These all work synergistically to heighten the positive effects of cannabidiol and this is referred to as full-spectrum.
Under certain extraction conditions, CBD can be completely isolated, ie: removed, from all the other compounds in the plant, which leaves a pure, isolated CBD powder that can be used in a variety of ways, even to supplement your full-spectrum products.
